    windows live messenger 2010 fix?

as i remember it, there was a critical update that you had to do to run msn 2010, about a month ago...
i just installed messenger 2010 and now it says i have to download the 2011 one in order to use it...
i don't like it! is there any way i can make 2010 one stop saying to update it and just log in? anyone knows any hacks or anything? that would be greatly helpful (sorry if this post is against any website rules)

    Hi.

Close MSN and end msnmsgr process in task manager. After that, follow the below steps.

    My PC>C:>Program files>Windows Live>Messenger>msnmsgr.exe>right click>properties>compatibility tab>"Run this program in compatibility mode for">Windows XP SP2>Apply and OK.

If that doesn't work try with Windows 2000

Let me know if that works.
