I'm in need of some help getting the built in service monitor to work properly, which so far, hasn't worked at all.
I run a WHS with SageTV on it, and unfortunately, SageTV can be flaky at times, crashing just because a channel wasn't tune-able. I've setup the service to auto restart after a crash in the Administrator>Services>Properties panel, but so far, it has never once actually restarted. Because of this, I've missed a couple of recordings since I'm not watching TV every single day to see if its running or not.
So, how is the built in service monitor supposed to work, and how does one get it working? And if its working as intended (ie its broken to begin with), what alternatives are there?
