$500 wasted
AMDII X2 2.9Ghz
4gb DDR3
Biostar A780L3L
200GB Western Digital 7200RPM
DVD-RW drive
Ati Radeon 5670HD
525w PSU

It just hangs at the "setup is starting" window on the Windows 7 installation.

Nothing is reporting any errors. Bad MoBo?

What actual troubleshooting steps have you taken so far? Could be anything from a bad motherboard, defective CPU, bad RAM, or even a shoddy power supply.

Speaking of power supply - what are the specs on that? There are "525W" units out there that are nothing more than re-labeled 200W PSUs.

Is the hard drive new?

What CPU temp is your bios reporting in "PC Health" or wherever that temp may be found?

Does you video card require a separate 12v power connector coming directly from the PSU or is it designed to get its power from the PCI-e motherboard slot?

Do you have both the main 24 pin 12v+ power plug connected to the moterboard and the 4/8pin auxillary 12v+ plug connected to the motherboard?
