A buddy of mine wants a new system for general use like browsing, movies, and dvd burning. Here is what I picked so far.

Budget: $400

DVD burner
Cpu-mobo combo
500GB HDD
2x2GB 1333(PC3 10666) sticks
430W psu
OS: W7 home 64bit
I'm giving him my 4670 and my nzxt case.

Total: $420.64 So how is it?

At that budget there isnt anything better than what u picked

Are you going to overclock it for him? Otherwise, the BE processor is a complete waste.

Lol no oc just general use. I don't see how it would be a waste getting the BE and not ocing it...

Just wanted to get some thumbs up b4 he drops the cash.

That's a good system for the price. BE is easy to overclock and you can probably yank a bit more out of its stock heatsink. Easy. Just up the multi. For 1 tick might not even have to touch the vCore. If you do it's straightforward enough to only play with 2 variables.
