Tried copying the contents from my burned disc to the USB, but a lot of the files couldn't read from the source file or disc.

If I have the iso already downloaded, is there a trick I can use with that?

Open the iso with UltraIso. Click Bootable-Write Disk Image. Use the drop down to select the flash and format (if necessary) then burn.
There is also eZeBootableUsb by orbit30. I have never had the pleasure of installing a windows disk by usb but the above method works wonders with linux isos.
