hey everyone quick question is it possible to unlock a Athlon II Quad Core 3.0Ghz 640 on a asus M4A78LT-M LE mobo if so what would be the best way to go about it, i have never O/C before and any help would be much appreciated:D

Ya he means O/C. In his post he specifies O/C. I assume he just misworded the initial sentence and title.

Check that link Black C5 posted, it'll get you started. Search around the forums in the AMD section too, there should be plenty of threads about OC'ing AMD CPU's, and if you're lucky you'll find someone with your exact CPU and be able to use some info from there.
 
Just took a look at that linked guide and it is very good overall for 'any' type AMD processor. The descriptions of what is what about terminology fits just about any AMD processor manufactured in the last 4 or 5 years. Studying the guide for namiing of the voltages and multipliers and memory speeds and what is the general result when changing one or the other is just plain good to use in relating to any AMD cpu.
