what kind of line does it use?
what is the range of cost?
is it unlimited usage?
anyone ever use it?
:burn:

I believe it uses the same line as high-speed phone
Its really expensive, and only really practical for schools/businesses
It is unlimited
And if you share it, its rather slow compaired to cable/xdsl

blows

liek 64k or 128k max

its hard to change standards in telecomunication so they just make new ones rather than upgrad old ones

hense dsl

whats wrong with isdn, my phone company sent us a card advertising it to me.
its better than my 31kbps internet connection right now

not by much

im not saying dont get it im just saying there are better cheaper things out there

but mabey not in your area

if your willing to pay the price go for it

if not try dsl or shotgun modems or mabey a diffent isp that can get you a better link

right now i have MSN and i did a speedtest at 3:30 pm and i got 23.7kbps.
what are some good dial up providers that get around 40-50kbps?
i know isdn is slow compared to dsl or cable but my dad doesn't have a job right now:(

Huh! you think thats slow.
Ive got 128Kb ISDN. Sure my connection to the ISP is 128K but the absolute max download ive ever got is 31K. This only lasts a few seconds then drops to around 5K. Then I give up.

Surfing in work is much more fun, its free and I get a T1 line to myself! :) 100Mb anyone?
