[THG] SSD Steady State Performance

I still read Tom's (pass the salt), the preview of the OCZ RevoDrive 3 X2 included some interesting data (SSD Steady State Performance). The 128k incompressible sequential write of the OCz Vertex 3 240GB seems really low, 46.4Mb/s (all the sequential of the OCz's look a bit low but this one...is really bad). I would like some owners of the drives thoughts on this behavior. Do the writes actually get this bad after some time, or is this an exaggerated case of a rare event?

Wow that is strange, and really slow. Shouldn't those be in the 250 range?

"Before you're completely shocked by the low scores, remember that we're testing steady state performance. This changes the behavior of the SSD. Remember also that OCZ's drives center on SandForce controllers, which are architected to achieve their best possible performance when they're operating on compressible data. In the real world, that's actually a pretty realistic expectation. Completely random/incompressible data is fairly rare. It includes stuff like encrypted, precompressed files or encoded video data."
