Today I went to Microcenter and bought parts to build my mother a new computer.

Left with this:
-i3 2100
-Gigabyte GA-H61M-D2P-B3
-Corsair XMS 1600 2x2gb
-Thermaltake V4
-CM Hyper 212+
-WD 1TB Green
-Win7 Pro 32bit

So the build went together great and I went to load the OS and it cant read the DVD drive...Ended up that the Sata cable was bad, so I swapped it for a spare I had.

Try to load the OS again. Now it cant read the HDD... Now the other Sata cable is bad.

This is the 2nd Gigabyte board that all the bundled sata cables are DOA...
Pretty poor stuff...

Thank god for spares!

I have a few Gigabytes mobos. No bad sata cables in the bunch except the one I broke the end. Sata cables are loose anyway, sometimes don't make good connection.
