Bypass "Subsystem ID Mismatch" in ATIWinFlash

I have a 6950 with a 6970 bios flashed to the #1 switch. I am trying to flash it back to the original bios (which I saved via GPU-Z from switch #2), so that I can upload my modded 6950 bios (stability issues on a 6970 bios). When I try to flash it to the original bios I get an error saying that the subsystem id's mismatch. Any way to bypass or force it?

When I flashed my 6950 I used the method on this page from within Windows 7. See the "From Windows (this is how I did the flash)" section.

I used this XFX CNFC 6950 shader BIOS available on techpowerup (you should check the database if your 6950 is from another manufacturer) :

    Code:
    atiwinflash -f -p 0 bios.bin
That should allow you to flash the card from windows.

After some wiggling of usb devices I was able to bypass my mobo's usb issues long enough to format a dos partition on an external. Got it shader unlocked and OC'd to 925/1390 so far!
