Converting a two slot card into one slot.

I need a way to convert a 2 slot card into a one slot card. A waterblock will be used to slim up the main bulk of the card but the double slot connectors also need to go.


The top portion needs to be removed. I'm hoping someone with electrical knowledge of DVI connectors and chime in on whether or not severing the physical connection between the card and pcb will electrically be the same as having the connector in place but unplugged.

Pull the card apart, you may find that it will be hard to kill the one without the other.

You'll need to make sure that it is done cleanly and that no connections have the ability to ground, etc.

Thinking about it I dont need either connector, I could remove the whole connector box from the PCB if it's easier...
