well im not sure if i posted to the right place but
earlier today (around 5-6 hours ago) i got some acid from a leaked capacitor(big one) on my finger, i immediately washed it with soap a few times, but my skin still feels weird? it feels like its been electrocuted and its a little red, is that ok? does the acid take time to wear off or it should have as soon as i washed me finger?

I'm not sure how strong the innards of a cap are, but its likely you have a chemical burn.

I'd rinse with cold water for 3-5 min. It will probably be red still, but you'll be fine.

the burn is gone now, but ill rinse my figner anyway just to be sure, thanks :)

I figure there are four steps to such a situation:

1) Rinse with water.
2) Wash with soap and tons of water.
3) Douse it with some vinegar and some baking soda, that'll neutralize acids and bases.
4) Rinse with a ton of water.

I am not a medical professional.

Glad your finger is ok!

haha thanks :D
