hey there.

Need a PSU for a system with a 2500k and 2 6970

Would a Corsair AX850 suffice?

Thanks in advance

Go big if youre putting in 2x6970's. IMO...you need more power than you will use. Do you run your car at full throttle or bake a pizza at 500 degrees. You wont be hurting yourself getting 1000w psu.

800w minimum. I think the other guy missed the 2x6970. I dont think a 600w psu would run one of those.

I doubt he missed the second 6970, what with a corsair 850w power supply would easily run that system, with everything overclocked, with room to spare.

Yep, it will do fine with room to spare.
+1

That is a superb PSU. 2 6970's and overclocked CPU will run around 600-650W, so 850W is plenty.

You would be hurting your wallet at the initial purchase.

If he ran it stock it would easily run it...but I didnt see anyone mention 600W...
