    XP game theater Digital Out

I jus tbought this card to hook in to my home theater and i am haveing problems with the digital out. I used the coxal digital out and used the cable that i normally hook up to my DVD player so i know that the cable is good however when the sound plays it is very distorted beyond the point of wanting to listen to it. How do i fix this problem i am going to try the optical jack when i buy an optical cable.

Don't look now, but Cosford's watching you!

Alright Martin? 2 for an hours surfing here, but still, mustn't grumble........
We are stuck with technology when what we really want is just stuff that works.
How do you recognise something that is still technology?
A good clue is if it comes with a manual...
