I'm in the process of building my own case. However when it comes to wiring I have no experience/idea of what I'm doing.

The first thing I'm trying to work with is the power switch to the motherboard. I was wondering if this particular switch could work, and if so, any suggestions on how it should be wired?

This seems like it should be simple, but I want to be careful in areas I'm not familiar with.

you do not want a latching switch. For newer motherboards you need is a momentary switch. Momentary (or non-latching) means that the circuit is only complete when you press it in and does not stay "latch" when you let go.
