firstly im going to apologise for my lack of computer jargon/knowledge and i know what i did was silly/stupid

hi guys. i bought an xfx 6870 recently. it was all running great on bf3 etc but it got quite hot 80 degrees ish i now know that is normal but i thought it was the voltages as i had read if you lower them to 1.10 from 1.175 u get much better temperatures

so whatt did i do?

just that, with radeon bios editor i flashed the new voltage onto my bios restarted my pc i get into the bit where i can decide to go to bios etc or it loads to the loading windows screen then BSOD saying ''atikmdag.sys''

i went into my bios and changed to onboard graphics so i could flash my card back to the other bios but it now cant detect my card :/ using winflash atiflash rbe etc ''cannot find discrete card''

any help is appreciated

cheers

Did you back up your original bios?
If not, find it on the techpowerup site. http://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/

Of course you probably did some reading on how to recover from a bad flash but here ya go anyway.

Your gpu high temp could be from bad case airflow, dried up gpu paste, a defective fan, or too low of fan speed. I personally wouldn't lower the gpu voltage.
