I just built a new computer and installed the OS and drivers today. Its an i5 2500k 3.3Ghz with AMD Radeon HD 6870 GPU.

I logged onto wow to play a bit and get the game set up on there and when I minimized the game I see a message that 3D Accelleration couldn't happen so I need to see if DirectX9.0c drivers are properly installed.

How do I check this? Also, does wow use a 3D accelleration? I know the graphics engine on that game is old.

I just did dxdiag and saw that 3D Acceleration is enabled on my GPU. So maybe wow doesn't support 3D acceleration?
