[So I need a new PSU and I was just wondering if anyone on this form has tried one of the new XFX series PSU? I have seen some reviews on them and they seem to have everything I need. So I am thinking of picking up a 1050 gold but its a cross between it and the Hx1050 or a Silversone ST1000-P.

MY system

I7-920 oc'd 3.8 (20x190 @ 1.232v)
Gigabyte g1 Snper
2 X Msi Cyclone 1g gtx460n
both gpus have full cover blocks from koolance, and a CPU waterblock is koolance, 2 x DDC 3.2 18w pumps, 3 X TFC 55mm 1.5amp fans, 1 x Westren Digital 1T HDD, 1 OCZ 40g SSD and one LG dvd-rw. Will be upgrading to a fan controller in the new year looking at a AquaComputer controller or something on those lines.

I think the XFX is the better PSU in that option.

That being said, PSUs last forever, but you could run all of that off a 750W. xD

Maybe splurge for a lower wattage platnium unit?

I've heard some really good reviews from one of the Jonnyguru reviews (think it was OKWolf?) about the Enermax Plats:

I like the looks of that Seasonic 100W :D I'm gonna agree with Knu on this one if your mind is set on one of the ones you hand picked the XFX is probably the best of the lot, having said that it wouldn't hurt to take another look some other PSU's

Oh those listed, I would get the XFX.
It's woefully overkill for your setup, but it is also a very nice PSU indeed.

My only concern with going less power is Upgrade, I would like to go to a sli of the new 6xx series or 7xx whatever they are named GPU. So that is the only reason I went with so much power.

That's a great choice.. It can handle dual GTX580s and the newer generations seem to draw less power so it should be fine. :)

sweet and its local so I just have to pick it up. nice nice. thanks for all the info and help guys and gals
