Resistor identification

Just looking for a little help identifying this resistor. First band is brown, second black, third orange, last is gold. My trouble is, in between the orange and gold is a small dot of purple. Not sure what that is. Here is a pic. Thanks

Here's a good link that I used to try id that resistor both with and without the violet color band. With the violet it comes up as an error, but with the other colors minus violet it comes up as a 10k ohm +-5%. Hope that is of some help
 
Awesome. Thanks alot! It's from my odometer/speedo on my truck. Stopped working, and when I pulled it apart I found that. Going to try to fix it today
