8GB & 16GB. I use the 8 more often, so that's the option I chose.

Added featured tag too. Good idea. :)

EDIT - Janus' post reminded me, I use 4GB for benching except on SNB-E, where 16G quad-chan gives a slight advantage.

how is it the normal amount ??

what are you guys doing that requires so much that is considered normal ? :comp:

I picked up a 6gig kit for $34.99 at a Micro Center. I also seen 8 gig kits for $29.99.

With the overall low cost. It's going to be normal having large amounts of RAM now.

You betcha it's overkill me having 9 gigs of RAM. Why not..

I'm still at 4gb. I haven't upgraydd(ed) in awhile and don't plan on a new build until Q3 or 4 of this year.

16GiB here, it will be average in the next couple years... was great price.

Edit: I have no paging file, so more ram = sweet.

LOL...love the .x stuff for the numbers  .

Anyway, 8GB in my DailyD. Sometimes 16GB in the benching machine. Like Hokie, I voted 8GB.

Got 8 gb ddr3 1600 for some 1333 4gb +20 bucks due to my friends mistake when building with a mobo that only supported 1333 :p

Beware diaz, it may bug you with some apps that ask for a pagefile no matter how many GiBs of RAM you have.

I moved the pagefile to a RAMDisk so I didn't have to worry for it.
