We're very close to taking over not 6th, but FIFTH in the world RAC listing. Kudos everyone for sticking with the project through this round of outages and let's go show these guys ahead of us what we're made of!:comp:

Just under 11k behind 2ch we got this!

Awsome! We'll get there soon, main rig starting to get some wu's.

That Tyan would be nice to get!!!!!! :attn::bday::thup:
I might get one now lol. Dayum 8 GPU's!!!!!!!:comp:

Oh yeah, that's a monster. Dual six core CPUs and 6 GTX590s running three instances each ... good grief that's a lot of tasks running at once ... 50-60 tasks running?

Yes, but probably 200+k RAC too.

Here's latest update (RAC)

6 L'Alliance Francophone 955,135

The gap is narrowing, and quickly.

Here's that build (no gtx 590s at the egg)

I have a dialog with a reseller here in sweden too.
awaiting prices...

8 GTX590 at 3 instances each that's 48 instances of SETI.
That's beyond sweet...:thup::thup:

Only negative is the pricing...

I wonder what RAC such a beast would reach.

Top RAC right now has just 3 GTX590s in it and is pulling 130+k with a single six core CPU. Eight 590s and dual six core CPUs would easily blow 300k out of the water.

6k more to go!

My new rig with dual Xeon (24 processes total) and GTX 470 + GTS 450 is helping a long. In just 2 days since I started, the RAC of this machine jumped to almost 20k and the graph shows a very steep climb so I am a long way from finding out what the average will be.

I did suffer a total brain shut down when someone showed me another version of server board: Intel Socket 1567. As many as 32 sockets per board, 10 cores per CPU, and 11 PCIe slots. If I had the money and a dedicated power line from the pole just for this rig, I could probably go crazy with 320 cores (640 threads) + 11x GTX 590 with aftermarket cooler and a dedicated industrial AC to keep it cool.

Can 11 dual GPU set be allowed? I read NVidia didn't officially support more than 4 GPU per single computer, and few has been able to get 8 stable GPU in a single rig. Yes, the power requirement would be staggering, measured in hundred Kw/hr (a typical incandescent bulb can be a measly 0.1Kw/hr) and it'd probably have to be in a custom built shack to keep excess heat out of the house.

Hypothically speaking, what kind of RAC can 32x 10 core CPU + 11 GTX 590 crank out? Unfortunately socket 1567 is a rare one not meant for customers but for critical use like NASA and those are hard to find + mad expensive. A 10 core 2.4GHz is around $5000 a pop. A 4 socket version is around $3000 and i can't find via Google any supplier with more than 4 socket board.

Geeeeezzzz! That stuff is to much green off my back, I'll stick with the used sub $200 servers lol.

Hey, We took the 6th spot!!!!!!!!!!! Congratz everyone! :attn::thup::clap::grouphug:

Nice !!

Just checked and my RAC just passed 140k :bday::bday:

Downloading seems to go pretty smooth too, which is really
good. If this keeps up I think with a little tweaking I will be up
and around 160k with current hardware.

So the new goal is set to 200k RAC !!

Crunch on !

Next goal, 1 million RAC then we can look at going after the a spot we've never had before. Will take some work and probably a little bit of recruting to get a few more power members on board, but if you look at their active list and ours, their team RAC should be easily attained.

The pair of 7970s arrived yesterday so my main rig is going to be getting some upgraded hardware soon. Those bad boys should be able to do at least 4 instaces each (3GB VRAM) so that should bump up my personal RAC quite a bit. The overall performance is about 90% higher than the 5850s as well. I turned up the CPU count to 4 on that machine this morning now that I've got it stable at the new overclocked (undervolted down as much as possible to keep heat off the H50 and found a sweet spot at 3.4Ghz on that chip, running at a very low 1.06v) so my personal RAC will be on the rise again. The web server is still coming online too, only at 2500RAC given it's identical to my work PC except for OS, its got at least another 2k to add. All told, I'm aiming for 75k RAC at least when its all said and done.

Congratz Wizard on the 140k+ RAC!!!!

Our Team just went over 1 million RAC, Nice job Guys!!!! :attn::clap:

I see 4th coming up!!!!!
