Reg SMP on 4p

Is it normal to occasionally get a regular SMP unit on a 4p running the -bigadv flag? I am just wondering as that is what I got just after my last WU turn in (p6903) a little while ago...

Maybe us 4p'ers are crunching these bigadvs to fast for Stanford to keep up!!

I just ctrl+c, and checked my Langouste settings to ensure it was running... from what I can tell it was. As of now, my status light is flashing like nuts (just like it does when sending a W/U...) That is a weird hangup for sure. I am thinking the server's might have went offline temporarly... hence the regular SMP, and lack of being unable to return a Bigadv??

Sounds like the bigadv server was down, so your wu had to be a smaller SMP wu - but that's the best fall-back in any case, and consistent with what Pande Group had stated previously they would do, in that situation.

I haven't had that exact situation, but did fold a regular smp wu, when I first set up Tanker.

p6901's are the smaller of the Bigadv's... they go faster, but are less in points... I only get about 300K ppd from them, as opposed to 460-500K for p6903's and 4's. thats on my 6174's though... cant wait for the OC for my board to come out. But either way, I am happy with what I got.
