wodim is a straight-forward way of disc burning; being that mint is a derivative of debian, it should be available in the repos.

A "how-to":

Edit

I should note that I was perfectly happy with GnomeBaker but about the time that Debian Squeeze was "testing" GnomeBaker got to be wonky to the point of unusable. Wikipedia has an article on Unix/Linux disc burning tools that have a GUI:

I like K3b as an alternative to brasero. I checked the Mint repos and it is not in there but it is GPLv2 so I'm sure you could snag a copy from somewhere.

Actually it IS in the repos. I put it on every version of Mint I come into contact with and it is my burning program of choice as well!

I hardly ever use brasero, ever since I discovered K3B 4 years ago I have never looked back

Oh, ok. I don't actually have mint installed on any of my computers I just did a quick search on their package list online and I didn't spot it. I stand corrected then.

I got it the software manager makes it easy.
