It has been years since I've messed around with Intel, but I'm having fun so far!

3770K at 4.5Ghz, Topping out at 1.2v
Cooler: Corsair H80 (High)
Case: CoolerMaster Storm Sniper
Ram: 16GB Patriot Division 2 Xtreme 1600 running at 1866 9-11-9-27-2T

Looks like I may have a stuck sensor on Core #0. It idles in the high 30's at every speed, voltage I have tried. I've re-seated the H80 a couple times as well.

i have one core is high also at idle , on load it balances it self out .

CPU load at 4.8 nearly 250 watts,room temperature 26.2,water temperature 27.4-8,and holding

Working on 5gigs now...but it seems internal heat will beat my waterloop

Fantastic setup and OC as well, nice chip:thup:

Haven't overclocked yet, dont know if I will on air.. Probably not. Using Noctua HT-h1 with hyper evo 212, here are my temps just browsing and doing daily stuff... also using HD4000, played BF3 on LOW with 40-30 fps in windows mode. 20fps~ in 1920x1080

Nice work!!

Well after last nights insane LN2 problems I think I may have sorted it out so maybe again tonight! did a fresh load of windows.

Keep up the good clocking!!!!

What resolution were you playing bf3 at?

I'm new around here but have been lurking to get info about these processors, so figured I might as well finally sign up and share my experience. I snagged up a 3570k + Asrock Extreme4 from Microcenter on launch day because it was a no brainer at their prices (less than $300 total lol).

Anyway, I'm just using a Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo inside of a Lancool K62 case, and I'm running 4.4GHz with 1.2v core and PLL set manually to 1.799v. I'm 100% stable and hover between 75-80C during stress testing with Prime95, but haven't seen it hit 70C yet during normal use i.e., a recent 3 hour play session of The Witcher 2.

I feel like I can definitely get 4.5GHz if not 4.6 with just the Evo, but I'm not jumping on it yet because I pretty much just use my computer for gaming and Lightroom and that extra 100 or 200MHz really doesn't matter. When I'm bored and have a little time I'll give it a try though, but for now 4.4GHz is a nice, solid daily driver with plenty of headroom in case a fan dies, the room gets hot, or something else odd happens. I'm tempted to return the Evo and grab an Antec Kuhler 620 for only $12 more at Microcenter, but I can't get a clear feel for how much better it would really be. Any thoughts there?

After some hard LN2 I managed to MAX the multi on this 3770K for a nice CPUZ VAL

I want to thank the watchers for the encouragement

I just picked up some MX-4 to replace my AS5, and I'm very happy! Lowered temps 3-5 degrees and seems to have added stability @4.5Ghz / 1.2V. I also put it on my GTX 470 replacing the stock TIM, so hopefully I see a big improvement there.

Nice work! What did you use for the rest of your voltages?

UD5H

BCLK - 103
Multi - X63

VTT - 1.23v
PPL - 1.93v
Dram 1.70v

set the loadlines to Med. for CPU VTT, DRAM and HIGH for CPU Vcore

The trick was keeping the temps no lower than -68c or so up to 5.7 after that I was able to go -90c+to 6.1 then -140c to MAX x63 w 130 BCLK

Managed a SPI 1M run before it started getting flakey at 6.2+
