Anyone have experience with WDS setups?
At work the IT dept is looking to wrap wi-fi coverage around the corner of a building.
Antenna at (1) will be ~3m (10') high.
Antenna at (2) will be ~6m (20') high.
Distance from (1) to (2) is about 75m (225') with a 100% clear line of sight
Distance from (2) to (3) is about 100m (300') with a few small trees in the way
Would dual radio repeaters be ideal in this situation?
We were looking at the Engenius EOR 7550.
Our thought was to place one at (1) and one at (2). In both locations radio one (600mw B/G) would be set up with a 9db gain omni directional antenna as an access point to provide wifi access for devices. Radio two (lower power B/G/N) on both devices would be setup to provide a dedicated WDS bridge for backhaul.
Anyone have any experience or thoughts?
Anyone played with dual radio devices before?
