I have the Gigabyte board above in my HTPC along with an ancient old Pentium D 920. However my girlfriend needs a new PC and I was recently offered a cheap Q9650. I know that the Rev 1.0 version of the board doesn't officially support any 45nm processors, but I have seen various mentions on fora of people getting Wolfdale duallies to work in them. So is it possible to do the same with Yorkfield quads?

EDIT: Looks like it can. The Rev 1 DS4 supports them and since the S3 has Wolfdale support and the two boards are VERY similar in almost all respects it would seem almost certain that it can (with overclocking).
