bottom of heatsink?

I took the fan/heatisnk off the old MOBO and now I noticed I don't have the bottom connector for the new MOBO. is there a place I can buy that part? or do I really have to get a new heatsink and fan together?

Its an LGA 775 socket/Q6600 cpu

Not sure what you have and what part exactly. Pics? And the mobo exact one? With a link to the mobo review maybe?

kinda like this is what is missing on bottom compared to the other/old MOBO

You should be able to get a replacement. What model heatsink do you have?

looks like a default LGA 775 heatsink. its just stock came with the system.

Stock 775 was pushpins? No bottom plate.

The first link you posted has the studs on the backplate..

Are you using the stock intel HSF that came w the chip? Cuz like conundrum said, it doesn't use a backplate.

yea the bolt thru looks like it! this one has screws that screw thru it
