Hey guys...

Write speeds seem a little low here to me...

as-ssd-bench OCZ-VERTEX3 MI A 8.18.2012 11-29-40 AM.png

Asus MIVE-Z... On the Intel Controller... Vertex 3 MaxIOPS... OS Drive.

IF it's indeed low... Can somebody hook me up with some troubleshooting options?

It's a Sandforce drive, need to bench it with compressible data to reach the advertised speeds. ATTO is the only benchmark I know of that uses it.

msahci is the Microsoft AHCI driver, you could gain a bit if you installed the Intel AHCI driver (RST)

Intel RST 11.2.0.1006 is the newest

Download the file "STOR_Win7_XP_11.2.0.1006.exe", install and reboot

See... Thats what I thought also...

I've downloaded several different versions of IRST from Intel... And every one of them after install causes BSOD's at the Windows Boot Loader Image screen!

Can't figure out whats going on with that.

My first guess causing BSOD would be lack of AHCI in registry, but it looks like you allready got that according to your AS SSD screenshot

The 11.2.0.1006 installer should create the proper registry settings, but could also be a BIOS problem. As far as I know, some BIOS updates also update the Intel orom - is your BIOS fully updated ?

Maybe try an older Intel RST 10.8.0.1003 ?

"STOR_allOS_10.8.0.1003.exe" is the file you need
