are you using a DIY from someplace online or brewing something up by your self?
I've got a bench supply but I was thinking of taking a "1000" watt PSU and hacking it up for one with a little more control.

my existing one is an old school LabVolt model 194

Oh, I just meant for random low powered non-fussy things (arduinos and such). I rarely need a voltage outside the standard 12v/5v/3.3v voltages, and the few times I did I simply used one of those LM2596 based regulators you can find for $2-3 or so on *site that's not newegg*. They're accurate enough for my needs but that's for a different thread :D

Update: To avoid the double post, The Email deals

Anyone know if those Definitives are any good? Got a set of Infinitys on my TV and a cheap set of Sonys on my PC. Thinking of tossing the Definitives on the TV setup, moving the Infinitys to my PC, and then getting a cheap amp and putting the Sonys in the bedroom.

Today's first shell shocker left me unshocked: http://www.newegg.com/Special/ShellShocker.aspx?cm_sp=Homepage_SS-_-P1_20-148-790-_-01052015 (It sold out nevertheless.) I was going to add that I thought the 512GB M550 at $170 was a better deal. I should have jumped on it when I had the chance. It's gone now. I still had the page listing it up but was not able to add it to my cart. :(

Wait.. What? The mSATA version on Amazon for $170? http://www.amazon.com/Crucial-512GB-mSATA-Internal-CT512M550SSD3/dp/B00IRRDJ9C/

Is an mSATA to SATA adapter going to cost performance?

Probably not enough for it to matter.

If you've been wanting a 512GB SSD that one is worth jumping on at that price.

Specs are the same for the mSATA and the SATA.

The difference is only in the location and size of the conductors. A few extra millimeters to move them around isn't going to affect anything at all (unless you really care about that last measly attosecond).

Good because I had already pulled the trigger before posting. It will replace the SSHD in the Lenovo Y50 which is presently inbound. :D

I thought these might be pricing mistakes since the Newegg deal had already disappeared. It turns out that the Newegg does list that drive for $165 in this sale. Price at amazon is now $278 for the mSATA version and $284 on the SATA one. Too bad I didn't wait until the one at Newegg showed up again because I could have saved an additional $5 plus $12 for the mSATA/2.5 SATA drive adapter.
