Hello,

I need bit help, i've looking very where to get some info about Overclocking i3 530.

I'm running my i3 @ 2.9Ghz

Motherboard is ECS H55H-M

And Cooler is stock .. :(

Can u help me about voltages and other stuff, can i get to near 3.5ghz or more with stock cooler?

Heres picture about BIOS settings.

Thank you

Change the BCLK to 159 (159 x 22 = 3.5GHz), the Vcore to 1.12-1.15V, Spread Spectrum to Disabled, and the DRAM frequency to DDR3-1590 (assuming you have DDR3-1600 installed).

Whats vcore, name on bios?

Voltages are like +0.01 etc up to +0.315 what i have to choose?

Thank for replying :)

I looked CPU-Z it says Dram frequency is 839.9 Mhz .

DDR3 4gb .

4GB Dual Channel DDR3 @ 839 MHZ

I setted dram to 1600 then it didn't just start had to take battery out, and bios reset

CPU Voltage = Vcore. And the DRAM frequency is 10x the current BCLK, so from the pic. you posted it's currently at DDR3-1670 (167*10; 835MHz*2). So at a 159 BCLK the effective DRAM frequency needs to be DDR3-1590 (x10 DRAM multiplier; 795MHz in the DRAM frequency field of CPU-Z).

But my pc won't start after that it works but display wont work, i had to take my Bios battarey off to get it work again :)

What's the exact model of RAM? And post a pic of the same BIOS screen as above after making the changes I suggested.

Hello again,

got my problem fixed :) my temps are at 80c when running bf3 @ 3.5ghz

im getting soon Hyper 212 EVO, what would be temperatures then?

I had to but that ram to 1333mhz so i can run it properly

I used to run my 540 @ 3.50GHz on my Intel DH55HC which had no voltage option and a regular Kingston 1333MHz RAM. It only had the FPS to be modified, I ran my ram at 1500MHz and my CPU at 3.5 without any voltmod and on stock cooler. Temps would reach like 60-63, Then when I got my contact 29 it dropped to 45-50. It ran for like 6 months like this, then I sold it :p

im running @ 3.5 ghz and in idle temps are like ~40-47.

When im playing BF3 even if i set it to low graphic the temps will raise to ~80-83.

Any knows what my temps will be, when i get CPU Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO.

what if my ram is only 2gb 1333? whats a new settings?

TIA
