Hi all,

I have a less than 1 year old Diamond MM 6950 that has started making a grinding noise from the fan closest to the VGA ports. My card looks like this:

I tried cleaning it, and removed any dust from the HSF. It still makes noise. Any suggestions?

Took my VC apart, lubed up the fans, however, I noticed the noisy one seems to have a slightly out of round shaft. Put it all back together, it still makes noise, but now I don't hear it above the sound of the PSU or CPU HSF. You only hear it when you get right down on the floor next to the case.

Thanks for the advice.

If it was grinding chances are its is slightly damaged now but oil should help it last longer untill you can find a replacement fan or just keep runnin it:thup:
