I read somewhere on the internet that with 970 chipset you can run only 1 AMD gpu. Is that true?

It also said thet with 990F you can run 2 and with 990FX you can run 3.

With AMD motherboards and AMD GPUs your looking at the spacing and number of slots for your limitations. Its when your dealing with SLI that you need to look at the 990X or 990FX chipsets.
