Card arrived in pristine shape, not a speck of dust! :D
Came with a giant poster too!!

Sorry about the camera.. seems I need a better fix than some tape to keep the dust out of the lens :-/

Caddi, Subpar, seems you have some catching up to do now ;)

I love Gigabyte boards :)

I've found that the revision 1.0/1.1 boards are the best. My last few giga's were rev 1.0.

well, i already have a nearly identical board, just one that uses ddr2, not ddr3, and it ran my e8400 @ 4.5ghz 24/7 for a good couple of years.
figured that this one should hopefully be able to do as well, and will no longer be limited by my ram speeds for overclocking!
and since i won't be going for 24/7 stability when im benching it, i seem to recall being able to get about 15-25 mins of prime stable @ 5.0ghz, so with some luck, a cold winter, and a radiator in the window, im hoping i can get some really good speeds with it this winter.

My HTPC is on a Gigabyte board with a Q6600, been running 24/7 since 2006. Only thing that went titsup was the PSU which died last year.

This showed up in the mail today.
the start of a bench rig/htpc :)

Cool. A socket 775 motherboard with USB 3.0. ;)
(Gigabyte was going with the times!)

(Most are stuck in the socket 478 era, when it comes to USB!)

(USB 2.0 is from the socket 478 era!)

(Of course, I can also say that USB 2.0 was from the Internet Explorer 6 era!)
(That was back in the times when Internet Explorer 6 was the latest Microsoft browser and Microsoft showed no signs of releasing another major version.)

Now, it makes me want to get one!
(Of course, not just the USB 3.0!)

I have a Q6600 G0 in my Asus Maximus II Gene
and I have 2 Wolfdales! ( a 2008 E8400 C0 and a 2009 E8600 E0.)

i have an e8400, that if memory serves correct is an E0, ran it at 4.5ghz 24/7 for a few years.
and not only does this board has USB3.0, it also uses DDR3 memory, rated for speeds of up to 2200+!!

The Asus Maximus II Gene is one of, if not the last motherboard using DDR 2.
But, I have an abundance of DDR 2.
