non k you can grab a couple hundred mhz out of the blk if its decent, and turn the multipliers up to the max turbo, about all you can do.

Like he already mentioned, you should be able to lock in your turbo multi (38 I believe)with and then increase bclk a couple to 103-105. Multiply your max turbo multi * bclk and that is where you will end up.

if you have a decent aftermarket cooler, even a hyper212 would be better than the stock intel cooler; then you can expect a simple 4.2-4.5 ghz overclock. real world performance, say you get the 2600 (non - k) up to 4ghz; 4.2-4.5 isn't going to perform much better, say 5-10% depending on what you're doing. How high of an OC have u achieved on the 2600?

Just to expand on what the other folks already mentioned... the 2600 non-k version has access to "limited overclocking", meaning you can set clock rates up to four speed bins above the highest Turbo Boost frequency setting (34 + 4 + 4 = 42 --> 4.2GHz @ BCLK 100.0) or 1 active core + Number of CPU Bins (+4) = Turbo Freq. of 3.8GHz... Overclocked Freq. adds an additional +4 CPU Bins = 4.2GHz. Add to that a max. BCLK of 103-105 = ~4.3-4.4GHz Turbo Boost overclock. The following pic. relates to a i7-2500 w/ a 3.3GHz base frequency, but more to give you an idea of how it works...

i have a watercooling system "xspc Rasa 750 RS360 WaterCooling Kit".....
so with this i can get with no temp problem 4,4 ghz ???

rs360 is a great cooling unit to start, assuming you're just cooling the CPU. great explanation redduc.

So, Stayros42; have you tried upping the cpu turbo multiplier? adjust the bclk at all?

I've always been curious about overclocking the non-k chips.

OP can post some screenshots?

It seems to me you can get 4.2ghz pretty easily, just set your multiplier to "42." Any 2600 should be able to handle that even at stock volts.
