input device that allows me to "write" on my PC?

Not sure what its called, i'm sure it exists. What I am looking for is something that I can use when taking a math class or something that will let me take notes on a tablet type thing that connects to a computer (laptop) via a usb cable allowing me to "write" on my computer....

that's one wall of text that makes my eyes burn.

Sorry i'm sick and high on drugs so nothing i'm typing even makes sense to me.

That might work, and I don't know what Methals budget is, but one of the lower end Wacom tablets is actually half the price. Of course you don't get the actual notepad and the one you linked to might actually store notes on the pen, where as with the Wacom you need a laptop sitting next to you on the desk.
