Great looking system! and I'm really liking that NZXT 810 Switch case more and more...
I see you're rocking stock heatsink, that until the Swiftech 220 comes out?
Either way, looks solid.
looks good, I like the Gigabyte 7970's
force the overclock on the cpu? i had some bf3 stutter, forced OC to 4.6ghz vs most auto settings and 4.4ghz OC. I'd suggest you get Hwmonitor to watch the tems, but I'd force the OC to 3.8ghz, drop vcore as low as possible, drop PLL as much as it lets you (i'm at 1.7 but some people can go as low as 1.6(ish))
PS: post some screenies of cpuz so we can see memory/cpu settings.
It might be too soon to complain but I'm not very impressed. I've tried a few games, SWTOR worked perfect, BF3 some stuttering, Fifa 13 AWFUL stuttering.
I need more testing yet but I'm very worried. I may make another post if this continues to get some help from the community.
Windforce coolers caused a great deal of noise for me, how are yours faring?
Good to hear 13.1 is working for you.
I went cheap and got a single 7970 from tigerdirect, a friend said he would give me $35 for the games if I helped him upgrade his computer so that sealed the deal for me.
Odd thing is when it came in today it doesn't really match that model specs.
It has 2xDVI ports (vs 1); Specs say it should be: Core Clock: 925 MHz; Memory Clock: 1375 MHz
GPU-Z shows Core Clock: 1000 MHz; Memory Clock: 1425 MHz
It Voltage locked, but I figured that when I ordered it
Brief testing using MSI afterburner & FurMark shows it may be stable at the allowed maximum of: Core Clock: 1125 MHz; Memory Clock: 1575 MHz
Mine shows 1Ghz as well. I don't know why. I'll try OC soon but, is it needed? All games run perfectly. Need to try metro 2033 still, that one might need some extra power.
