[SOLVED] Ubuntu doesn't boot after install.

Tried Ubuntu Windows installer and a standalone Flash Drive and the burnt CD.

Sits at a purple screen, or with the flash drive, stops once it lists my drives.

Specs in Sig.


I solved this issue from editing the GRUB2 Bootloader for the main selection for Ubuntu, and adding nomodeset to the end of the third line.

is windows 8 on you system?

did you try DL'ing a second iso?

I'm running Windows 7 Professional (x64)
And I tried both ISO's.

Been trying to install 12.04LTS

AAAND This is as far as I ever get.
That pic was taken when I chose to try to boot ubuntu from the grub bootloader.
