Had some spare time and probed my Pi a bit, I think I found the external bits that go along with the internal VRM. This means that while we won't be able to do a classic FB pin style voltmod, we can connect an EPower/etc. and have adjustable voltage beyond the hardware 1.4V cap.
Assuming, of course, that this really is vcore/VARM. I'd be surprised if it wasn't.

Alternatively something as simple as adding a couple/few ceramic/tantalum/polymer caps across the two ceramic MLC jobs there may buy you some more MHz at the same voltage.
Or it might blow the internal MOSFETs to hell, who knows.
Don't blame me if it goes blammo! I'll test it when I can, but it may be a bit.

I couldn't get mine to clock at all, something software was dead.
Now the whole thing is dead. Don't short the 5v filter cap to the 1.24v filter cap with your multimeter probe.

Somebody send me a Pi.

Mmm, Pi!

On another note - I'm sorry for your loss. Rasp Pi's are awesomely fun to tinker with.
