I started piecing together another 3930K system. Hopefully in about a week I will get it going. If I can get it stable at about 4.7 or 4.8 it should put out about 8000 RAC. I sure miss my last 3930K.

Build so far.

MSI X79A GD45 8D motherboard Refurb $83
Gigabyte 6770 1Gb Refurb $38
3930K Bnsib $380 bought off different forums
16Gb Gskill 2400 Ram $180 new
120Gb Patriot SSD $120 new
D5 pump, rez, apogee water block and 3x120mm rad - left over parts I had

Working on a PSU right now then I should have it running.

oh man .. drool
so ? whats it doing ? post some results, boast something :)

I should have known that a $83 X79 MB was to good to be true it is sent back for RMA. In the mean time I picked up an Asus Hero and a 4770K to run. Looks like it should put out about 5000-5500Rac running it at 4.5ghz.

I gave up on the RMA and grabbed an Asus X79 Deluxe mother board. It is up and running but I am still stress testing to see what it will do.
