... Return to article to continue reading.With the upcoming release of the AMD Kaveri FM2+ APU, motherboard manufacturers will be ready and waiting with their AMD A88X chipset offerings. This new chipset is backward compatible with Richland and Trinity socket FM2 APUs. This is good news for those APU owners wanting what the A88X chipset offers, but who don't necessarily want to change APUs. However, keep in mind, it doesn't work the other way around as older socket FM2 motherboards will not work with the new Kaveri APU.
