Whew, that was a thread title. Anyway, BF4 is almost here! We had an extremely successful beta thread, now it's time for the real deal.

bf4-preloaded.jpg

Now that it's here, what better way to celebrate than to see how much it tortures our systems?! So please share what sort of FPS you're seeing. Obviously this won't be very scientific to start with until we determine the best method to test.

Please report at least the following and if you remember, put it in quotes so it stands out from other general talking about the game.

System Specs
CPU: Model # (stock / overclock, if any)
MB: (Brand & model #)
RAM: (Brand, speed, timings)
GPU(s): (Amount, brand, model #, rated GPU/vRAM | overclock, if any)

Graphics Preset: (medium/high/ultra/etc)
Monitor(s) resolution:

Average FPS: XX.X

After sharing your FPS, please don't hesitate to talk about your general experience. Likes, dislikes, bugs, etc.

Game on! :attn:

Reserved for Results. Since we have no actual method to come up with results that can be parsed into a graph, I'll just paste results here as they come in for now.

Ugh, hate to add another variable, but graphics pre-set? Medium/High/Ultra?

Hey, better to be thorough. Added!

Wish I didn't have to work. No gaming for me in 21 minutes.

I didnt check FPS, just went off gameplay and I must say that this GTX780 is killing it.

First off, 2gb of ram was the max that I utilized at 2560x1440 resolution.

Next, it was VERY smooth. I didnt notice FPS drops and I was running ULTRA settings. I played on a larger map with lots of action and destruction. It ran really well.

Now mind you Im still testing the card, but this was at 1228mhz // 6100mhz so its overclocked a bit.

**OK so I just ran FRAPS and have a 69 FPS average!
Avg: 69.124 - Min: 48 - Max: 82
Pretty damn good if you ask me. This is on ULTRA settings with 4x AA. Memory usage did bump up a bit on the next map to 2.2gb as well, but still far from 3gb. Im still tweaking the card but it looks like 1228mhz max clock on the core, which isnt too bad. Want to try and get the memory up a bit.

Well I am let down. I bought both the game and the DLC, and its saying I am unable to play until October 30th @ 7:00pm.

I am in the eastern time zone.

Not happy with EA at this point.

I bought it from Origin...

I am seeing several people having the same issue in the EA forums..

How do they determine where you are?
It doesn't go by the time zone setting on your computer or something as simple as that?

I had a good time with recon. I gotta c4 as many tanks as I can before they all get proximity detectors...

could we also get some RAM usages so i can see if i really NEED to upgrade to 8GB. my main pc has 8 but my lan rig has only 4.

edit: lan rig also only has a 650ti 2gb and a 1680x1050 monitor.

In BF3 I had 4GB and on some maps I was getting stalling, till I switched to 8GB then it was smooth as silk.

It was last night... around 8:45... my phone started ringing. Its one of my admins "WHERE THE !@#$% ARE YOU! What? BF4 is launching in 15 min! O_O Isn't that next WEEK?!? NOO!!!

Long story short My ISP Decided I didn't need better than 4 mbps Download last night which means I didn't get to play yet :( Stupid stupid me.
