Changing ownership of comp in w2k pro

I recently put together a spare comp and set it up for myself.My son and his wife wanted it so I gave it to them.Every thing on the comp is in my name ,how do I change it over so it's in my sons name?.

I would probably do a reinstall that way it eliminates any and all info and lets them start fresh.

90% of programs you install gets your name and company from your Windows installation. Only way is to reinstall everything or spend years searching through the registry

Thanks guys ,looks like he can live with it . It isn't hurting anything. I will wait till a new install is needed dont fix it if it aint broke!

Download a copy of x-setup and it will allow you to change the name. Or you can edit the enteries in the following :

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion

Please make sure that you backup the registery first

Will that change the name in all the installed programs or only in Windows?
