insidious Adware

Hey all.....what do you use to get rid of adware? Are you aware of progs reporting your personal info to strangers?
I personally use Ad-Aware to clean my system of nasty lurking progs...but is that enough...how about Microsofts registry, check this link and let me know what u think:

I have not found anything better that ad-aware from
lavasoft. It is amazing the stuff that creeps onto you
system. .... especially the evil double-click stuff.
