Will this card work for my needs?

Will this card (MSI R6450-MD1GD3/LP) work on my motherboard (GA78LMT-USB3)? Also will this card be powerful enough for things like photoshop and the occasional 1080HD video? I also want to start recording things like sunrise. One problem I have right now with the integrated is when I try to play a video in vlc at say 10X speed to time lapse the video starts glitching, will this card play 720P videos smoothly at faster speeds? I also DO NOT game.

Your board has a PCIe slot, so yes, it will work.

It will do 1080p video...yes. On board does it just fine... when not FF 10x...
