A new app has been launched on Android called Power Sleep. It's similar to BOINC so we might be seeing folding@home on phones sooner rather than later.

Cool stuff, going to try it out on my Note 3 tonight. Hopefully won't wake up to a puddle of melted plastic. I'll probably end up leaving my old Note 2 running 24/7.

I didn't read the whole article, are only Samsung phones supported?

It's in google play store so I believe most Android phones and tablets. Here is a section from the app description:

Power Sleep functions on Android smartphones and tablets from version 2.3 with ARM processors onwards. For optimal use, we recommend smartphones and tablets from Android version 4.1.

Let us know how you get on. Might try it on my Galaxy S III.

Oh there would be No Way I would be risking My Samsung Galaxy SII on this, gets warm enough doing a full Backup, as Fever says Hopefully won't wake up to a puddle of melted plastic!!

I gave the Samsung app a shot on my HT Touchpad (running Cyanogenmod) and it went no where. It may rely on something in the Samsung launcher.
