Old thread, but what I always do is take A LOT of pictures of ALL RMA's I do. I get my DSLR and take very detailed pictures of everything including the packaging showing the layers of protection. I also do this with ebay sales because you never know.

I have read about people getting screwed, but with evidence at least you have proof. I had two ebay sales overturned in my favor because of my this. When its a gpu, I stress test it with valley for a good 30 min and have a video on it.

That just me I guess.
