Asus Essence STX - Very low volume.

I tried another 6.3mm to 3.5mm adapter.

When I use my headphones in the amplified headphone port windows detects them as speakers. Could this be the issue? (My xonar DX does this too but it's plenty loud)

No, that's the ST, I have the STX.

Update. It was a defective device. Received either a new or repaired card in the mail today and it's plenty loud on the "normal gain" setting.

Thanks A Lot!! Fixed the issue with my 650 Ohms Headphones.

If the link above ends up breaking, in ASUS STX app under the main menu, select the hammer icon and choose 650Ohm.

Just so you know, you can locally host images from a URL by using the "Insert Image" function... like this.
Once it's hosted locally (on the same server as the forum) it won't go away as long as the forum is in existence
