Lenevo G575 internal mic issue

Hi. I have a Lenovo G575 laptop and have the latest sound drivers installed. When I use my internal mic and/or external 3.5mm mic port, the sound comes in barely audible, even with everything maxed and boosters turned on. I've tried all the settings I can, and researched everything but nothing is turning up. I've also tested them on different apps and different sites and have the same universal problem. It barely picks up noise with both the internal and external 3.5mm microphones. Anyone have any ideas?

Right click on the sound icon in your system tray, click Playback Devices. Switch to the Communications tab, then pick "Do Nothing".
