My work uses these fir this and that, thoughts on using them in a water cooling setup ?

If things like these are what you mean...I don't use them in in-case builds but absolutely love them for benching (table not case)! Swap watercooled cards in and out in seconds. No spillage, no muss, no fuss. If you do want to use them, try to get the high flowrate ones.

I used to use many of them in my build. I finally removed them because they were just too bulky. I have only use one towards the lowest point in the case for draining purposes. Only use them around PC components if you change alot of hardware, for example a hardcore OC'er or reviewer.

maybe those in the pix, but these exist in 1/2" and even 5/8" and most of them are actually G1/4 ... They can be used with "soft" hose, if you use the special hard inserts in the last half inch of the hose.

yeah, visiting your nearest plumbing or DIY store can save you money compared to ordering from "specialist PC watercooling" webshops :)

Aren't those for small diameter hardwall tubing, like home water filtration systems?

As the the guy above said they do come in bigger sizes that was just the only pic I could find at the time.

with planning the hard hose needed for those fittings could work, I just don't know how well they hold up, the ones we use at work don't seem to leak unless their attached to something that moves a lot.
