just to get the back story out, I picked up a pair of gtx760 gpus a bit back.
I played around clocking the things and felt pretty good about getting 1150-1190 on the cores and looking at the reviewers ratings (but not the clocks) still felt I was in the ballpark.
Then, talking to my buddy Rgone I got quite a kick in the cajones when he saw some folks getting into the high 1300's.
He sent me a link and there it was, they were claiming high 1300's, so I read along in the thread a bit and they discussed the valley scores, so I downloaded valley and fired it up, I dont sit through bench marks so i just fired it up and walked away.
I came back and in the score box my score was a bit higher than what had been posted so i ran it a few more times and all was good as far as the scoring.
What has been in the back of my mind all this time was the clocks, why could i and most reviewers only reach the mid and upper 1100's????
running valley again tonight I sat through the bench and right there in the upper right corner was my answer, valley shows a clock figure and mine showed over 1400!!!

the point of this????? always find out what monitor is being used!!!!!

Also note, that, some reviews only post the boost clock in GPUz, which, as you likely know, boosts higher than that and you need to capture it in MSI AB or something of the like.. ;)

But, I'm sorry... what the heck does the monitor have to do with, well anything here? LOL!

the monitoring software is what i am refering to ED.
it appears that the pair of cards that i got (openbox at that) are top shelf units.
